GREEN COMMITTEE

Green Building Spotlight:  Thailand

The Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew temple is about 400 miles northeast of Bangkok in the city of Khun Han close to the Cambodian border. Using Heineken bottles (green) and Chang Beer bottles (brown) the monks were able to clean up the local pollution and create a useful structure that proved to be a visual reminder to the scope of pollution and the potential we can make with limber minds.

Tell Us Your "Green" Story

The Southeast Regional Green Committee is interested in hearing YOUR company's "green" story. Has your firm "gone green"? Tell us about your efforts -- no matter how large or small -- to reduce energy consumption and waste and promote sustainability.

Perhaps your "Green" story involves a green building project that raised your client's awareness about energy efficiency. Maybe you've encouraged LEED training for your staff. Or, you've replaced the styrofoam cups with ceramic ones in the breakroom. Tell us! We want to feature those ABC member companies who are embracing "green" in big and small ways so we can learn from one another.

Click here to email ABC President Karin Tucker with your company's "green" story.
